Julien was born in Switzerland, but has lived most of his life away from his hometown: USA, Brazil, South Africa, Estonia before settling in Paris. Working with the fashion industry for many years, his approach to film has become almost photographic; he always tries to look for sincerity, beauty and emotion. He is particularly interested in films related to the world around him. His work consists in creating films that relate to this world, hoping to connect the viewer to something deep inside of him. スイスで生まれたジュリアンは、人生の大半を故郷を離れて暮らしてきた。アメリカ、ブラジル、南アフリカ、エストニアを経て、パリに定住。長年ファッション業界で働き、映画へのアプローチはほとんど写真的なものになった。
そこには常に、誠実さ、美しさ、感情的なものを彼は探り当てる。 特に、自分を取り巻く世界に関連した映画に興味がある。彼の仕事は、この世界に関連する映画を作ることであり、見る人を心の奥底にある何かと結びつけることを望んでいる。ジュリアンは、シャネル、ディオール、ヒューゴ・ボス、フェンディ、ミュウミュウ、コス、アルマーニ、メゾン フランシス カークジャン、ラコステなど、多くのブランドと仕事をした。
