Already critically acclaimed with his debut film ‘Even Cowboys get to cry’ (2013), Mees has already been nominated for a wide spread of prizes including the Crystal Bear at Berlinale and the Golden Calf (aka a Dutch Oscar). His creative style experiments with different narrative forms, however his visual style remains distinct and constant.
